Rockecharlie & Co. enjoys a close relationship with this leading Houston private equity group. In 1996 we initiated and co-invested with Tanglewood’s principals in the acquisition of Forged Vessel Connections, Inc. (“FVC”). In 2001 we initiated and co-invested with Tanglewood in its acquisition of ITEQ, Inc., (NASDAQ). Today, FVC is part of Tanglewood’s Ameri-Forge Group. Two former ITEQ companies – GLM Tanks & Equipment and Ohmstede Ltd. – were subsequently sold at substantial profits prior to the Ameri-Forge Group’s sale in 2012 to First Reserve. As of January 2017 Verantis Environmental Solutions Group (formerly Ceilcote Air Pollution Control) is the sole remaining asset in the Tanglewood Investments portfolio.
